Whit's End is a family
campground located on the crystal clear Bearcamp River at the base of
Mount Whittier in the beautiful Lakes Region. They offer 130 spacious,
wooded and riverfront, RV and tent camp sites, nestled amongst the
pines on over 50 acres in the foothills of New Hampshire. The Bearcamp
River flows directly into Ossipee Lake and is perfect for fishing, to
kayak or canoe, or just floating. The Lakes Region is the gateway to
the White Mountains!
Whits End offers sandy
beaches. Bring a tube and cool off with a float down the river! After
a day of hiking, biking or shopping, take a dip in the heated pool
(open until September 10)! Want to get back to nature? Take the kids
for a hike along the nature trail. They have horseshoes and volleyball
too!
Driving North -
Interstate 95
Take I-95 North to the
Spaulding Turnpike (which becomes Route 16 North). Follow Route 16
to West Ossipee. Take a left onto Route 25 West at the light at
McDonald's. Take your first left (approximately 500 ft.) onto Newman
Drew Road at Mt. Madness Adventure Center. Whit's End Campground is
one mile on the left.
Driving North/East -
Interstate 93
Take I-93 North to Exit
23 (Route 104). Follow Route 104 to Route 3. Take Route 3 North to
the intersection of Route 25 East in Meredith. Take a right in
Meredith onto Route 25 East to West Ossipee. (Approximately 30
minutes from here.) Take a right onto Newman Drew Road at Mt.
Madness Adventure Center. Whit's End is one mile on the left. Note:
If you pass Newman Drew Road and come to a McDonald's you have gone
too far. Reverse direction and take your first left (approximately
500ft).
Driving West (from
Maine)
Take Route 25 West. Turn
right onto Route 16 North to West Ossipee. Take a left onto Route 25
West at the lights at McDonald's. Take your first left onto Newman
Drew Road at Mt. Madness Adventure Center--approximately 500ft.
Whit's End Campground is one mile on the left.
