Bay Front Homes
Many inland bays offer mariners protected ocean access, deep water channels and a complete variety of communities, school districts and activities to fit any prospective waterfront homeowners needs and desires. A bay is defined as a body of water partially enclosed by land but with a wide mouth, affording access to the sea. Bay front homes are not as protected as homes on creeks or channels and can still subjected to the full force of mother natures wind and flood tides. They usually do not however suffer as much from beach erosion as ocean front homes. As with most investments there are always pros and cons. Bay front homes have the advantage of spectacular open water views but many times do not offer boaters protective dockage. No matter how a boat is tied up when it is subjected to strong winds a boat can get damaged. Bay front homes are great for those who love the view but may not be the best choice for a family who enjoys boating.
